One AQUACHLOR-500 device provides wastewater disinfection in the amount of 25 thousand cubic meters per 24 hours (Moscow region, Krasnoarmeisk, 2006).

AQUAHLOR-500 operation review

Wastewater biological treatment plant of the town of Krasnoarmeisk having potential output of 20 thousand cubic meters/24 hours operates since 1980. Since the beginning final effluent disinfection was carried out by means of liquid chlorine that was delivered in containers 1 ton in weight and stored.

In view of inconvenience of delivery, high operation risks of liquid chlorine usage and because of toughening of industrial safety requirements, administration of "Krasnoarmeiskenergo" Ltd took decision on purchase of new safe and efficient equipment for final effluent disinfection.

Electrochemical device AQUACHLOR-500 manufactured by "Research-and-Production Association "Ekran" was selected after the detailed market study. Main advantages of AQUACHLOR-500 are safety, compactness, usability, reliability of operation as well as ability to increase the plant’s disinfection capacity by way of connecting several AQUACHLOR modules.

AQUACHLOR-500 now installed at Krasnoarmeisk wastewater treatment plant provides complete suppression of bacterias in disposed final effluent .
