Chlorine gas was used for disinfection before 2006.
12 AQUACHLOR-500 devices with total oxidants producing capacity of 6 kg/ h or 144 kg/24h were installed at the station in 2006.
In view of complete transition to disinfection by oxidants solution 4 more AQUACHLOR-500 devices with new kind of power supply were added in 2007 to those installed earlier. At present 16 AQ-500 devices operation at the station. Total oxidants producing capacity makes 8 kg/h or 192 kg/24h in chlorine equivalent. Devices are used for initial and second chlorination of water from surface source.The oxidants solution is supplied directly to water feed line ejector avoiding collecting tanks.
