Wastewater disinfection at petroleum refinery "SLAVNEFT-YANOS", Yaroslavl, 2006.

Total oxidants producing capacity in chlorine equivalent is 1 kg/h. AQUACHLOR devices operate at petroleum refinery for drinking water disinfection and disinfection of water used in technological cycle of production. The refinery’s management took decision on arranging local disinfection station considering economic benefit from applying AQUACHLORs compared to using tap water. The oxidants solution from AQUACHLOR devices is transported to the collecting tank and is supplied by the ejector pump to the water to be disinfected. Volume of disinfected water is 3100 m3/24 h. Water is supplied from the surface source – the river Kotorosl.

Using AQUACHLOR devices in technological cycles of various productions is not only economically sound when providing direct function of disinfection, it has as well additional advantages because the oxidants solution demonstrates bigger reactivity. For example, during AQUACHLOR operation at the sugar refining plant such positive effects as increase of sugar yield from beet slices, better safety of yield, improvement of sugar characteristics etc, were marked.
