AQUACHLOR - water disinfection and treatment
eng ðóñ

Requirements

Location requirements:

  • premises should be equipped with combined extract and input ventilation with change of air once per hour;
  • air temperature should be within +5 ÷ +40 ºÑ, relative humidity of air should be up to 80 % at 25ºÑ;
  • premises should be equipped with electric power (220V, 50Hz), power consumption per 1 kg of oxidants will make 2-3 kWt/h;
  • premises should equipped with pressure line, water temperature should be within +2 ÷ +35 ºÑ, pressure 2,0 to 6,0 bar;
  • premises should be equipped with sewerage system.

Assemblage requirements:

  • pressure set by reducer should provide the flow of 400-500 liters of water per hour through ejector mixer of AQUACHLOR-500;
  • space for installation of 1 ÀQUACHLOR-500 device should be ≥ 3 m2 (including servicing space), 2 AQUACHLOR-500 devices should occupy ≥ 4 m2, for installation of 6 and more devices 1 m2 is required for 1 AQUACHLOR-500;
  • space required for brine preparation equipment should be 14 m2, salt storage -12 m2;
  • ready for use brine is recommended to be pumped over or let overflowed to the supply tank the bottom of which is 30-50 cm higher than dispensing pumps inlets of AQUACHLOR devices in order to ensure their operation "under flood";
  • hydrochloric acid supply tank (for recurrent supply of 5% hydrochloric acid solution to membrane pumps of AQ devices for de-scaling) should be placed 30-50 cm higher than dispensing pumps inlets of AQ devices.

Brine and water requirements:

  • it is required to use technical common salt in the amount of 2 kg for 1 kg of produced oxidants (usage of first-rate salt or sublime salt tablets will increase operation time of the devices between two de-scaling procedures);
  • mechanical filter should be installed at the pressure line inlet.

Operation requirements:

  • AQUACHLOR operating parameters should be regularly recorded;
  • one operator is required for servicing AQUACHLOR-500 operation , one worker (working in one shift) is required for preparation of initial brine with concentration within 200 to 250 gl in the amount of up to 3600 liters per 24 hours;
  • if pressure in the anode chamber is less than 0,3 bar operation of AQUACHLORs is prohibited;
  • it is prohibited to dismantle and repair AQ device independently.

Safety requirements:

  • Safety zone is not required around the premises where AQUACHLORs operate;
  • AQUCHLOR devices are unable to operate if depressurized, no emergency shut down system is required.

Rules and regulations set for industrial electrolysis production, as well as for chlorination facilities equipped with liquid or gaseous chlorine cylinders according to Decision of a Commission of Industrial Safety Experts of the Russian Center "Chlorine Safety" and Application Permission of the Federal Mines and Industry Inspection of Russia (Gosgortehnadzor) SHOULD NOT BE APPLIED TO AQUACHLOR DEVICES. Rules of transportation and storage of chlorine and chlorine products (hypochlorite, chloride of lime solutions) ARE ALSO NOT APPLICABLE TO AQUACHLOR DEVICES.

Aquachlor devices do not come within the above indicated rules and regulations because during operation or operation break Aquachlor device contains not more than 0,07-0,09 liters of gaseous chlorine at pressure less than 1 bar. The devices produce as much amount of chlorine as is required in the given point of time.
