Municipal engineering service management has signed contract for supply of new plants designed for alternative treatment of drink Water and drains. The project of reconstruction is reasoned by the need for gaining of efficient and safe water disinfection process. For chlorine disinfection of drains the local Educational University operates the chlorination plant. The University has a number of cylinders in stock filled with liquid chlorine and two chlorination plants.

While taking into account all the advantages of chlorination, this method has some shortfalls including the one with triholomethane generated as a result of interaction of chlorine with water. The agents generated have their negative effect on human organism. In the event of gas leakage the University personnel will be exposed to risks. The new plants make it possible to remove the problem. The decision about water disinfection facilities reequipment was taken under influence of Moscow liquid chlorine suppliers. They raised the chlorine prices and reduced the terms specified for container return. Besides, they demanded for advanced payment to the amount of 150 thousand roubles per 1 container.

New electrochemical plants “Aquachlor” are designed to meet their efficient and safe requirements. The plant is fed with salt solution. The gaseous oxidizing agents composed of 95% of chlorine with residual chloride dioxide and ozone, are produced inside the plant cavity. This solution has rather effective properties. It efficiently disinfects water without generation of harmful triholomethane, as well as decomposes phenol that as is known affects water taste.

Liquid chlorine delivered in containers is valued to 18 thousand roubles; one liquid chlorine cylinder costs 35 thousand roubles and salt – about one thousand roubles per metric ton. By estimation, with all the facilities reequipped with the plants, the ones would be repaid approximately in 2.5-3 years. But now, “Aquachlor” is used just at two municipal engineering service facilities. The MUP “ISG” Production and Technical Department is about to initiate its investment program that is projected to be defended before a bank. With the above defense to be a success, the company is supposed to gain leveraged lease to be used for purchasing of the plants and reequipment of the company facilities.

With the old plants replaced by the new ones the rates of engineering service tariffs are not supposed to be changed.
