“Aquachlor-500” to be designed for treatment of Maina Water by means of Sodium Chloride

The state-of-the-art drink water treatment plant “Aquachlor-500” is commissioned in settlement Maina. Due to the above plant developed by the designers of Russian Federation defense industry, we can reject utilization hazardous gas chlorine and replace it by common salt.

The personnel of Sayanogorsk Ministry of Emergency Situations often chaffed: “Maina is a great powder keg”. The water intake and treatment facilities are positioned too close to the apartment houses and water is treated by means of chlorine. The gas generated is very hazardous to health (e.g. during the First World War chlorine was utilized as the battle toxic gas) and any leakage may result in large human catastrophe.

That is why it was decided to come to utilization of other safe water treatment technologies. Previously, the similar equipment was used in submarines, but now “Aquachlor” is operated in the civil area.

As for the communal service operators, they also exempted themselves from utilization of chlorine. The new treatment facilities operate on common salt. Lately, “Aquachlor” was run in Maina and now it is decided to use the same equipment at the Cheryomushky’s water treatment intake. In a time, it is also scheduled to reconstruct the Sayanogorsk water treating facilities, but the water will be treated by means of the UV equipment.
