Complete Overhaul (Ust-Ilimsk)

This summer, Ust-Ilimsk Heat Station should be subjected to its complete overhaul. Taking into account that at our city the heating season lasts almost a year, our power engineering staff must to do a lot of things. Within the summer period they should carry out all the scheduled and preventive works to keep up all the facilities in their operating condition required for reliable and qualitative municipal utility services to be provided to our city inhabitants. This year, the project investment cost totaled 50 million roubles and exceeded the amount of funds to have been invested previously. The matter is that the water-supply pipeline networks leased by “Irkutskenergo” are sorely in need of repair – everyone knows that quite an amount of service facilities is in the bad shape.

The repair company principally focused on the heat-and-water supply and drainage facilities accepted in November of 2005. The power plant equipment had run all over the heating season without any delays, but the above-accepted equipment was operated with failures. At present, some repair works concerned to replacement of the heat network collector (Druzhba Narodov str.) and other equipment (Dimitrov str.) are carried out.

Considerable attention is currently focused on the water supply and drain facilities. In terms of the overhaul, all the worn-out sections of the sewage header and water supply mains are subjected to their replacement. With “Aquachlor” applied we will be able to take costly and toxic chlorine out of the technological cycle and save 2.5 million roubles per year. According to V. Yushmanova, Director of Ust-Ilimsk Heat Station, they will do their best to condition new pavements and lawns. Besides, “Irkutskenergo” scheduled to appropriate 10 million roubles for the purpose of recovery works. “We hope that our inhabitants and city visitors will support us. On terminating the projected works, not only does Ust-Ilimsk not lose its appearance, it will be more beautiful and conveniently planned than before.
