FAQ
Safety regulations regarding production, storage and application of chlorine SR 09-594-03 do not apply to AQUACHLOR devices as these regulations cover industrial technical systems of chlorine production by way of electrolysis by diaphragm, membranous or mercurial methods provided with technological equipment, tubing and fittings for transportation and conditioning of gaseous and liquid chlorine. Single AQUACHLOR as well as systems consisting of several AQUACHLOR devices are not dangerous production. In the single AQUACHLOR device or systems unified for transportation of moist gaseous oxidants mixture there are no tubing (lengthy, hollow constructions with inside diameter exceeding 12 mm), fittings and special equipment used in the industrial systems of production and conditioning of gaseous and liquid chlorine. Installation premises are equipped with extract ventilation. Safe operation and no risk of uncontrolled chlorine emission poisoning of personnel and environment are guaranteed by extremely small volume of gaseous oxidants (less than 200 ml) which under low pressure (about 1 kgs/sm 2) during AQUACHLOR's operation passes through tubing inside the device and through gas pressure regulator and arrives in the ejector where it dissolve in small part of the treated water turning into analogue of chloric water with the help of which, in accordance with the known technologies, disinfection of the basic volume of water is performed. What is the warranty on AQUACHLOR?Warranty period on AQUACHLOR is 1 year. On the expiry of durability of the FEM-7 element anode coating (durability usually makes up from 6 to 8 years, the expiry being defined by reduction of the oxidants production) replacement of the used FEM-7 element by the new FEM-7 element is carried out at the minimal price. The used FEM-7 elements have to be returned to the company-manufacturer. What are permissive documents for AQUACHLOR and it's application?Russian Certificate of Conformance for AQUACHLOR, Sanitary Epidemiological Conclusion of Russian State Sanitary Service on oxidants solution. Application of oxidants solution produced in AQUACHLOR for the purposes of water disinfection in municipal water supply systems, residential and industrial waste water treatment and water disinfection in swimming pools is regulated by the Instruction approved by Russian State Sanitary Service.
How to service AQUACHLOR?Periodic cleaning of cathode chamber of the reactor by hydrochloric acid solution is required when using sodium chloride solution containing hard salts and polyvalent metals ions. Cleaning intervals should be defined by degree of hardness of the brine and makes up on average once per 72 hours of continuous or total operation. How and where to supply oxidants solution? In case if altitude overfall between AQUACHLOR and supply point of the oxidants mixture solution is not less than 6 meters, the solution is supplied to the treated water flow by way of direct supply through the existing line of chloric water supply, through specially built tubing from PVC, polyethylene, polypropylene. In case of non-existance of such altitude overfall between the device and the supply point of the oxidants solution, air-gas oxidants mixture is supplied to suction line input of the existing ejector from the special controller-collector (included in the supply set) or through the collecting tank provided with automatic or manual dosed supply system. AQUACHLOR operation requirements, consumables requirements?Drinking water is used for AQUACHLOR operation. Aqueous solution of non-iodinated white evaporated salt (extra), for instance under State Standard P 51574, or salt tablets for regeneration of cationic exchange materials, Technical Requirements 9192-001-55898695-01 (or alternative), are used as initial solution of sodium chloride. Hydrochloric acid (HCl) (preferable Chemically Pure State Standard 3118-77) is used for cleaning of the reactor. What are AQUACHLOR overall dimensions?
How to regulate amount of oxidants produced by AQUACHLOR?When managing several devices the amount of the produced oxidants required for disinfection of certain amounts of water is regulated by the amount of the devices operating simultaneously. Amount of oxidants produced can be regulated as well by way of change of current strength passing through the reactor of the device based upon directly proportional dependence between efficient current strength, passing through electrochemical reactors, and amount of the oxidants produced. How is assemblage and setting up of AQUACHLOR carried out?Assemblage and setting up of AQUACHLOR-500 at the customer's site is carried out by the specialists of the company-manufacturer or it's authorized representative in compliance with separate agreement. Standard equipment (tanks, arrangements for rapid dilution of salt, filters, fittings) for brine preparation and acid storage is purchased at the expense of the Customer by the company performing assemblage and setting up of the whole complex of electrochemical equipment or by the Customer himself in compliance with assemblage and setting up agreement. What are the requirements for installation and operation premises? Is planning needed?AQUACHLOR can be stationed (without planning, installation and construction works) in the existing chlorination premises or in any heated premises equipped with combined extract and input ventilation with air change intensity not less than single volume of the premises per hour. Space required for assemblage, operation and technical servicing of one AQUACHLOR-500 device should be not less than 7 square meters including space needed for brine and acid HCl (for reactor cleaning) preparation and supply unit. Water pressure line (from 3 to 6 kgs/sm2), sewer, power circuit of 220 W in the premises is obligatory. What is AQUACHLOR' output capacity?AQUACHLOR devices are manufactured as modules their oxidants' output capacity being 30, 50, 100 and 500 g/h. Increase of output capacity of the devices can be reached by way of simultaneous operation of group of modules having output capacity of 500 g/h joint in unified hydraulic system with given oxidants output capacity. How to control AQUACHLOR operation?Technical control is carried out through the instruments situated on the front panel of the device. They are current magnitude, electrode voltage and gas pressure magnitude in the reactor's anode chamber. Technological control or efficiency of the device's operation is evaluated according to the oxidants' concentration in the disinfected water which should be defined in compliance with standard procedure provided for by the corresponding regulations. What is the amount of salt and power required for AQUACHLOR operation? For production of 1 g of oxidants 2 g of sodium chloride and from 2 to 3 Wt/h of power are required. Is continuous running possible?AQUACHLOR devices are intended for continuous running with breaks for technical servicing preparations (reactor cleaning). What is the composition of the oxidants solution? The obtained oxidants mixture consists of chlorine (95 – 96%), small amount of other oxidants: chlorine dioxide (3 – 4%), ozone (0,5 – 1,0%), as well as hydroperoxide compounds (hydrogen peroxide, singlet oxygen, superoxide radicals), contained in microdrops of moisture (0,2 – 0,5%). That's why chlorination by-products such as chloroform, for example, are not formed in water. The oxidants solution, unlike traditional chloric water, efficiently removes biofilms from the inside surface of tubing which eliminates the necessity of ammonation, reduces corrosion rate of tubing (it is known that biocorrosion rate is several times as much as chemical corrosion), gives to water perfect organoleptic properties. What is oxidants solution?Aqueous solution of oxidants mixture produced in AQUACHLOR devices is a colourless transparent liquid with pH of 2,5±0,5, having chlorine scent, functionally being an analogue of chloric water. Oxidants mixture solution is intended for water disinfection under the known technology of chloric water application using all (without exceptions) methods and means of disinfection process control. What is AQUACHLOR?AQUACHLOR device is like a compact modular chlorine-and-caustic miniplant joint with chlorator. AQUACHLOR device is an alterative and safe to handle source of oxidants mixture and can be used as a substitute for liquid chlorine cylinders and containers at municipal water treatment plants of any capacity, at residential and industrial wastewater treatment plants, in swimming pools' water disinfection systems. AQUACHLOR devices can be installed either as a single module or as a group of modules joint in unified hydraulic system. |
